The Little Smiles Junior Board gives young people a meaningful way to support the Little Smiles mission while building skills they can carry into school, college, and their future careers.
Members work together throughout the school year to organize service projects, support fundraising efforts, assist with community events, and help bring smiles to children and families during difficult times.
What Junior Board Members Do
Serve the Community
Participate in service projects and activities that directly support the children, families, and facilities served by Little Smiles.
Develop Leadership Skills
Gain hands-on experience in leadership, teamwork, communication, planning, fundraising, and community outreach.
Support Little Smiles Events
Help with select Little Smiles programs, fundraisers, donation drives, and community events throughout the year.
Build Meaningful Connections
Meet other service-minded students and work alongside community leaders, volunteers, and Little Smiles supporters.
Membership Requirements
Junior Board membership eligibility begins in eighth grade and requires a school-year commitment. Members are expected to:
– Attend monthly Junior Board meetings
– Participate in a Junior Board committee
– Support service projects and fundraising activities as needed
– Attend and assist with select Little Smiles events
– Communicate consistently with Junior Board leaders
– Represent Little Smiles with kindness, responsibility, and respect
Members may apply to continue participating through age 18. Additional participation requirements will be reviewed with selected applicants.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for dependable, compassionate students who want to make a genuine difference in their community.
No previous volunteer or leadership experience is required. Applicants should be ready to contribute their ideas, work as part of a team, follow through on commitments, and represent Little Smiles with kindness and responsibility.
