Our 7th Annual Bamboozle adventure scavenger hunt on August 25 was a huge success! With more than 200 participants running up, down and around Clematis Street, Bamboozle, presented by Vertical Bridge, was an incredible night out for a great cause. We are so thankful for all of the sponsors and teams who took part to make this event such a big hit! You guys came out in full-costumed force – and we are so grateful!
This year’s theme was “HEROES & VILLAINS.” Teams dressed the part to receive extra points and compete for the coveted distinction of “Best Dressed.” Using the GooseChase app, teams of four were given clues, challenges and obstacles with varying levels of difficulty and point values. Teams had to find items around town and visit local bars and restaurants to compete in physical challenges.
“There were crowds of people dressed up in crazy costumes searching for clues and running around downtown,” said Little Smiles Board Member Tim Frater. “It is a one-of-a-kind event. Participants love it because they get to do something different on a Saturday night, and every penny goes to local kids in difficult situations.”
Bamboozle is held in memory of Kyle Pacheco, a friend of Little Smiles who was diagnosed with cancer in 2002. Kyle lost his battle with cancer in 2010. But his family (Ed, Kathy and Colette Pacheco) continues to be an integral part of Little Smiles. They particularly support Bamboozle because it is an event where everyone gets a little crazy and has a lot of fun… which was Kyle’s style.
