Often times children are hospitalized during their favorite days of the year, their BIRTHDAY! At Little Smiles, we make sure they are celebrated with balloons, cupcakes, and of course a birthday surprise! It is so fun to see their little faces light up when they see what their nurse has requested for them. (Especially for this mini Moana fan!) Happy birthday sweet girl!
The kids at Real Life Children’s Ranch have been guests of Little Smiles at many of our signature events this year. We decided they deserved an event of their own! Together with the generous volunteer help from Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Girls Basketball Team, we created a fun field day at the ranch. Snow cones, water slides, bounce houses, Nerf Gun fights, and custom tie-dye shirts made for a fantastic field day!
We just launched our treasure box sponsorship program! With the generous donations from the Law Offices of Craig Goldenfarb, we were able to place five new treasure boxes in facilities throughout Palm Beach and Dade counties.
These boxes are filled with small toys for children undergoing procedures or waiting in emergency rooms. They are great prize incentives for our pediatric patients! If your company would like to sponsor a treasure box, please contact Little Smiles Program Manager Kaylin Bassett at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Sometimes its tough for patients to get through treatment days, even little things like taking pills daily are rough for some kids. We are there to make sure they have encouragement and smiles through it all. One of our friends at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital just needed a little extra encouragement…in the form of Legos! He was so pleasantly surprised by the Lego sets and bragged that he would probably be able to finish them in just two days. Anything to keep these little faces smiling through the difficult times!
We admire the care given at all of our pediatric hospitals, but we also love to celebrate the departure of patients! After a long stay at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital, we were happy to be a part of this little princess’ “Catchya Later” party. She could not stop smiling and looking around at all her nurses and new toys.
