One of the wonderful facilities we partner with is Gilda’s Club of South Florida. They provide support for families and children who are affected by cancer. Every year they host a fun night in Noogieland for the families. Our amazing volunteer took the night to deliver candies, refreshments and smiles to all of the kids at Noogiefest!
Kids are so resilient, and sometimes they just need another chance to celebrate! That’s what this little guy told us when we came to celebrate his birthday a day later. He said, “I’m so happy because I really needed a birthday redo, yesterday was no fun.” He was so excited to receive Pokemon collector cards, that he told us completed his birthday celebration continuation!
The nurses and staff were excited for a Halloween treat from Little Smiles, costumes, candy and fresh popped popcorn!
Did you know that October 1-5 was Pediatric Nurses Week? Here at Little Smiles we never miss an opportunity to show our nurses gratitude. During this week, with the help of our Little Smiles volunteers, we delivered gifts to more than 600 nurses in pediatric hospitals from Miami to Fort Pierce. It’s a small token of appreciation for all of the amazing work pediatric nurses do every single day.
Little Smiles’ Orlando Ambassadors, Julie and Angie, had the opportunity to represent Little Smiles at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children by providing pizza for the Childhood Cancer Survivors Luncheon. These brave kids have overcome such challenges, and we are honored to celebrate them!
