We celebrated Nurses Week May 6 – 12 by recognizing some very special people. Happy Nurses Week to all of the wonderful caregivers who do so much for our kids. You are the reason Little Smiles exists. We appreciate you!! Keep doing what you do best.
Patients at Paley Institute have some cute Warmies stuffed dogs to cuddle up with thanks to a special delivery from ConVergence Technologies. We brought 40 Warmies to these little patients, who go through months of physical therapy and multiple surgeries before returning home, which for many is across the globe. These Warmies are scented with a calming lavender and are heatable to place on surgical sites to sooth the pain. This is what your support does for local kids.
Not only was it movie night at the Paley Institute, we had a special birthday in the house! We are so grateful to get to join in on the celebration with pizza, cake and a movie. All of the kids loved the food, fun and Ferdinand the Bull!
The St. Clare Catholic School Fishing Tournament benefiting Little Smiles provided a special day out for 17 of our past stars, patients and kids in foster care! Each child had a chance to reel in some big fish off the docks of Sailfish Marina and took home their very own fishing pole. Our past star Aron caught the biggest fish of the tournament and won first prize with his 40-plus-pound wahoo! There were HUGE little smiles all around!
