So much of school is online these days, from supply lists to homework and more. This makes it easier for kids who have to keep up their studies while undergoing treatment, but only if they have a computer! Now this young man can keep up with his homework, and stay connected to friends and family during his long days at the hospital. Just look at that smile!
Certain conditions require even the youngest of patients to adopt a more healthy lifestyle. Fit-bits can help make it fun to make healthier choices, and kids can keep up with what their friends are doing to improve their chances at fighting their disease. We love granting wishes that are fun AND good for kids. Keep up the good work!
Everyone loves pizza! Especially these nurses who had been working around the clock for patients at Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital. They had been carefully monitoring young heart surgery patients throughout the night and we were so glad to give them a lunch break and say THANK YOU for all they do for local children!
Little Smiles was showered with love and a much needed donation of socks and pajamas by Palm Beach County Tax Collectors Office employees this month! Kids often arrive at the hospital with soiled clothing, and we love to help them leave in something comfy and cozy. The socks help while they are in the hospital – and we try to make them as fun to wear as possible. We are so proud to be part of a community that cares enough to create little smiles!
When these super heroes heard that some kids would have to stay at Jupiter Medical Center rather get to their first day of school, they spun, sprinted and flew to the rescue! They know it’s not always the fun stuff that kids miss when getting treatment, sometimes they just miss having their normal routines and getting to be with their peers. Way to save the day, guys!
